One team, many solutions: Exploring DPS with Pedro Vandeputte
When everything works as expected, most people never think about the technology running in the background.
For Pedro Vandeputte, Infrastructure and Cloud Solution Architect within DPS Advisory, that's a sign the team is doing its job well.
As part of Digital Platform Services (DPS), Pedro helps support the digital foundations that allow organisations to operate securely, efficiently and without interruption. Whether it's a modern digital workplace, a cloud platform, a banking application or a critical security service, DPS ensures the technology behind the scenes performs when it matters most.
More than a helpdesk
One of the biggest misconceptions about DPS is that it is simply an IT support organisation.
"While we do have excellent support teams, that's only a small part of what we do," Pedro explains.
DPS helps organisations run and evolve the technology their business depends on. That includes everything from the digital workplace employees use every day to cloud and data centre platforms, networks and the processes that allow new technology to be introduced safely and efficiently.
The team delivers and manages a wide range of services, including modern workplace solutions, cloud platforms, network management and security compliance. DPS also provides DevSecOps environments, bringing together development, security and day-to-day operations into a single approach. This allows applications and infrastructure to be built, tested, secured, deployed and operated in a consistent and increasingly automated way.
DPS also operates critical services such as WERO payment platforms for Belgian banks, complete IT environments for financial institutions and cloud platforms for major Belgian organisations.
Solving complex challenges
Modern IT environments have become too complex for organisations to manage with a handful of specialists. DPS brings together experts across multiple domains and makes that expertise available whenever customers need it.
Because DPS works with many customers across different sectors, teams continuously learn and share knowledge, allowing every customer to benefit from that collective experience.
Built on collaboration
For Pedro, collaboration is at the heart of everything DPS does.
"No one can do this alone. The services we deliver are made up of many different components and specialisations, so teamwork is part of our daily reality."
That culture helps DPS maintain the high levels of availability, security and compliance that customers depend on.
Looking to the future
Cloud, automation, AI and new regulations such as NIS2 are transforming how organisations manage their digital environments. Pedro believes these changes will only increase the need for trusted experts who can keep systems secure, resilient and compliant.
After 18 years with Sopra Steria, Pedro remains convinced that the strength of DPS lies in its people. Bringing together experts across different domains allows the team to tackle complex challenges, share knowledge and build lasting partnerships with customers.
For him, that collaborative approach is what continues to make the difference.
