Job Description

• Skillset: Java, Springboot, Microservices
• Good to have: React, Cloud
• Experience: 6-12 years
• Location: Chennai only

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain, develop, and design scalable, secure, and high-performance applications
2. Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
3. Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams for deployment and CI/CD integration
4. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
5. Provide innovative solutions to complex business/technical problems
6. Identify and resolve technical, integration and development issues
7. Implement best practices, standards and processes to ensure quality of the final product
8. Responsible for development of features independently
9. Continuous build, automated testing, and release management
10. Participate in status meetings and provide regular updates

Required Skills:

Technical:

1. Strong programming and object-oriented skills
2. Strong expertise in Java and hands-on experience with Spring Boot for backend development
3. Experience in designing REST APIs and microservices-based architecture
4. Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL

Professional Competencies:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2. Result-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment

Desired Skills:

1. Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Git/GitHub and Jenkins
2. Proficiency in React.js for building responsive and interactive front-end applications
3. Understanding of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) and microservices approach
4. Understanding of Linux/Unix shell scripting for automation and data operation
5. Experience working in Agile environments – Scrum and/or SAFe frameworks
6. Exposure to DevOps culture and practices
7. Understanding of software engineering lifecycle – Development, Testing, and Production Support
8. Experience in production issue handling and transformation support management

Good to Have Skills:

1. Awareness of cloud (AWS preferred)
2. Experience of developing and deploying JEE applications in cloud
3. Knowledge of cloud native platforms and application development
4. Proficiency in React.js for building responsive and interactive front-end applications
