We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.

The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.


Job Description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska and work within a team supporting a major client in the French telecommunications sector, with over 20 million customers.

Working hours: 8:00–18:00, plus on-call duties outside of business hours on a rotational basis, including weekly and weekend shifts.

Please note that we can only offer cooperation to candidates located in Poland who are willing to commute to our office in Katowice.

Responsibilities:​

  • Administration and maintenance of business applications for a French-speaking client
  • Monitoring application performance and ensuring high availability and stability
  • Incident and problem management (2nd and 3rd line support), including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Infrastructure extension or update (patching, upgrade, deployment)
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams 
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Continuous improvement of system performance and reliability

Qualifications

Must have requirements:​

  • 2+ years of commercial experience in a similar position
  • Proven experience in managing infrastructure lifecycle activities, including extension, patching, upgrades, and deployment processes
  • Very good command of French (min. B2) – daily communication with the client
  • Experience in application administration / application support
  • Knowledge of operating systems
  • Experience with VMware
  • Hands-on experience in application monitoring and incident analysis
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proactive and detail-oriented
  • Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively
  • Being open to occasional business trips abroad and regular visits in our office in Katowice (1 day per week)
     

Nice to have requirements:

  • Experience with UCS, OpenShift, Pure Storage
