Job Description
As Consulting Director – Banking & Insurance, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering strategic consulting engagements for major financial institutions and insurance companies.
Your mission is to drive growth, ensure operational excellence, and position Sopra Steria as a trusted partner for banking & insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with Sopra Steria’s growth ambitions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders across finance and insurance organizations.
- Represent the Banking & Insurance sector internally and externally, contributing to the overall Consulting strategy.
- Contribute to major bids and commercial proposals, providing strategic input on positioning, value proposition, and overall competitiveness.
- Build and lead a dedicated team of +/- 30 people to ensure quality delivery and client satisfaction.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop your team to strengthen capabilities.
- Drive financial performance and contribute to profitability goals (own P/L responsibility).
Qualifications
- Proven consulting expertise in digital transformation of banking services, interoperability, and data strategy.
- Strong account management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to define vision and build market presence in the finance & insurance sector.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Prerequisites
- Successful track record in consulting and delivery within the Banking & Insurance Sector.
- Established network across financial & insurance Institutions (from project managers to decision-makers).
- Ability to represent the company externally through events and thought leadership.
- Commitment to Sopra Steria’s values and fundamentals, leading by example.
