- Analysis, evaluation and coordination of the requirements derived from the operational concept for a navigation system suitable for aviation;
- Conversion of the identified requirements into a technical solution (taking into account the existing aviation equipment and its functions);
- Close cooperation and coordination with software and system engineers to efficiently implement the developed architecture;
- Development of innovative integration methods in order to enable the dual-use sensor concept for aeronautical navigation applications;
- Execution of trade-off analyses Specification, development and testing of novel navigation systems;
- Implementation and system support of software prototypes for the navigation system;
- Implementation/support of system integration and system verification by appropriatefunctional tests;
- Ability to understand electrical diagrams and validation of the integration in the platform (3Dx);
- Performing and participating in validation reviews according to the aviation specific development process;
- Support of the certification activities (e.g. with aviation authority EASA)
- Master degree in Mathematics, physics, or computer science;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Engineering, IT/Information Systems or Aerospace;
- Knowledge of environmental standard for equipment qualification;
- Knowledge of EASA regulations;
- Professional experience as an aviation systems engineer would be an advantage;
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB, etc;
- Analytical thinking skills, independent working style and good communication skill;
- The ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German language is an advantage.
