Are you passionate about technology and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment? Join one of our innovative squads at Sopra Steria as a Developer Intern, where you’ll contribute to the development and optimization of cutting-edge services.

Our squads work on a variety of impactful solutions, including:

  • Unix and VMware patching automation
  • Internal web portals
  • Cloud-native applications
  • API frontends
  • CI/CD pipelines and orchestration tools

Whether you're already familiar with web technologies and backend systems or simply eager to learn, we welcome your curiosity and drive.

Your Responsibilities:

🔹 Software Development

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions following best practices
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in collaboration with your team
  • Improve existing services through performance and usability enhancements
  • Develop unit and integration tests to ensure robust deployments

🔹 Automation & Orchestration

  • Use GitLab and scripting tools to automate recurring tasks
  • Build workflows to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring

🔹 Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with architects, network engineers, system administrators, and developers
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews)
  • Share knowledge and contribute to the team’s collective expertise

🔹 Documentation

  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for code, scripts, and configurations
  • Support the creation of technical documentation for long-term maintainability


Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Enthusiastic developer with experience from academic or open-source projects
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, CI/CD principles, and web technologies is a plus

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a structured and self-organized approach
  • Comfortable seeking information and collaborating across teams

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

Fluency in English (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus

📍 Location

The internship will take place in Leudelange (our premises)/ or Cloche d'Or (client's location), at the heart of technological innovation in Luxembourg.
