Infrastructure Engineer (Linux) with French

Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.

The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

We are looking for Infrastructure Engineer (Linux) with French to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that cooperates with one of our French clients. 

Responsibilities:​

• Performing 2nd level support to customer infrastructure and apply solutions to stabilize and refresh customer environment.
• Modifying operating system configuration and maintaining server services. 
• Calls with client.
• .Proposing improvements.
• Contacting on-site support and 3rd party support in case of hw incidents.
• Dealing with incidents, requests and troubleshooting on customer infrastructure.
• Regular system and firmware updates.
• Deployment of new virtual servers.
• Creation and updates of documentation.
• Training of other team members.

Must have requirements:​

• Proven experience in 2nd Level (L2) Infrastructure Support within enterprise environments.
• Strong administration skills in HP-UX, Linux (SLES), and HPE Ignite.
• Hands-on experience with VMware ESX/ESXi and VMware vSphere administration and virtual server deployments.
• Good knowledge of NetBackup and Rubrik backup solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience in incident and request management.
• French language proficiency at B2 level or higher, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers during technical calls and meetings.
