The Polish branch, as the Global Delivery Center, operates in Katowice since 2007 and has been growing ever since. Currently, our team consists of around 1,000 specialists.

Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.

The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.


Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Windows Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that cooperates with one of our Norwegian clients.

Responsibilities:​

  • Plan and implement Windows Server installations following best practices
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to Windows Server and associated services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, etc.)
  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing Windows-related issues
  • Assist customers with performance analysis and optimization for Windows environments
  • Execute patching, migrations, and upgrades
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application operations, networking, virtualization, and security, to deliver integrated solutions
  • Combines deep technical knowledge with strong problem-solving skills to ensure high availability and optimal performance of Windows infrastructure

Qualifications

Must have requirements:​

  • Expertised in planning and implementing Windows Server installations following industry best practices
  • Experienced in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to Windows Server and core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy (GPO)
  • Skilled in executing patching, migrations, and upgrades while maintaining system stability and security
  • Microsoft AZ-104 Azure Administrator
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent
  • AZ-800 and AZ-801: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • MS-102 Microsoft 365 Administrator


Nice to have requirements:

  • AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
  • SC-300: Implement an identity management solution
  • GitHub / GitLab Foundations
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate

Other requirements:

  • English B2 level
  • Structured in operations and documentation 
  • Customer-oriented, ensuring stable and responsive end-user experience 
  • Team player, effective in cross-technology collaboration
  • Proactive in identifying performance improvements and capacity needs

The recruitment process for this position consists of two stages:
• a short phone call with a recruiter (30 min max)
• one-hour long interview on Teams (with both general and technical questions)
