Windows Server with IIS Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Server with IIS Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, with a focus on Internet Information Services (IIS). The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and supporting the infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Configure and maintain Windows Server environments, including IIS.
2. Install, configure, and manage web applications on IIS.
3. Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
4. Implement and manage security measures to protect server data and resources.
5. Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and maintenance.
6. Automate server management tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
8. Provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT staff.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration, with a focus on IIS.
2. Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022.
3. Proficient in IIS administration, including web application deployment and configuration.
4. Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.
5. Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Good to have Skills:

1. Basic knowledge of Unix & Azure DevOps
