Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.

The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.


Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join the Sopra Steria Poland team responsible for a pro-gram that creates an open-source middleware platform. Its main goal is to support data access and interoperability in European data initiatives. It provides multiple compatible components, free to use, that adhere to a common standard of data quality and data sharing.

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who has EU citizenship, are located in Poland and are willing to commute to our office in Katowice, Poland.


Responsibilities:​

  • Creating automatic and manual tests (test analysis and design + execution)
  • Analysis of test results suggests ways to improve processes or increase productivity and quality
  • Cooperation with developers in diagnosing and correcting errors and error reporting
  • Running retests and regression tests (implementation and maintenance)
  • Taking care of test documentation
  • Leading comprehensive testing efforts across multiple software projects, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security
  • Manages critical test case design and reviews test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage and effectiveness.
  • Analyses complex test results and leads troubleshooting efforts to resolve issues efficiently
  • Continuously evaluates testing processes and implements improvements to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and scope of testing.
  • Reports on testing progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management, influencing decision-making regarding product quality and release readiness

Qualifications

Must have requirements:​

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer
  • Knowledge of practices, procedures, and principles of testing 
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with developers in an agile environment 
  • Understanding of advanced testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle
  • Proficient in managing a diverse range of testing tools and platforms, including both manual and automated testing environments
  • Exceptional analytical skills for evaluating software applications and predicting potential failures
  • Fluent English B2/C1
  • Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice.

The recruitment process for this position consists of two stages:
• a short phone call with a recruiter (30 min max)
• one-hour long interview on Teams (with both general and technical questions)

Salary range: 
UOP: 12 000 -16 000 PLN gross/month.
B2B: 100-140 PLN/h net + vat.
