Job Description

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the HR Advisor plays a key role in talent development, employee growth, and workforce readiness planning.

The incumbent leads individual development plans, training programs, and competency management initiatives. The role also coordinates cross-functional HR programs, including Health & Safety, the Controlled Goods Program, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and employee engagement events.

Talent Development

  • Coordinate the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.
  • Support managers and employees in identifying and tracking development objectives.
  • Monitor development actions resulting from HR committee discussions.
  • Produce related metrics and analyses.

Training

  • Gather and analyze training needs.
  • Develop and coordinate the annual training plan.
  • Manage budgets, vendors, registrations, and administrative follow-up.
  • Monitor mandatory training, certifications, training costs, and training hours.
  • Measure participation, satisfaction, and training effectiveness.

Competency Management

  • Coordinate updates to competency profiles and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain competency mapping tools.
  • Identify critical competencies, skill gaps, and future workforce requirements.
  • Support managers in competency assessment and employee development.
  • Recommend development, training, or recruitment actions.

Cross-Functional HR Initiatives

  • Coordinate Health & Safety programs and initiatives.
  • Manage the HR component of the Controlled Goods Program, including employee files, training, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Plan and organize employee events and engagement activities.
  • Maintain required documentation and support audit preparation activities.

KPIs and Continuous Improvement

  • Define and monitor KPIs within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Produce dashboards and periodic reports.
  • Analyze results, risks, and variances.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to programs under responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a talent management role.
  • Experience in competency development, training management, and organizational development.
  • Experience coordinating HR programs, employee engagement initiatives, or employee experience activities.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics (KPIs) and HR data analysis.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications (advanced Excel skills are an asset).
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
