Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.

The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.


Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps/CloudOps Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that works on the project for a client from banking sector.

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people are located in Poland and are willing to commute to our office in Katowice.

Responsibilities:​

  • Collaborate with the team to manage and optimize cloud operations.
  • Use monitoring tools like Dynatrace to ensure system performance.
  • Handle toolchains with GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including HashiCorp Vault.
  • Work with containerization technologies.
  • Respond to incidents, support users, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and configurations.
  • Help establish and promote best practices for cloud operations.
  • Script and automate tasks using various programming languages.

Qualifications

Must have requirements:​

  • At least 4 years of experience on cloud environment 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and know conceptually how they work  
  • Knowledge in at least one of scripting tools: Bash, Powershell, Python 
  • IAC tooling: Terraform, Ansible  
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Gitlab, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Nexus 
  • Monitoring: Understanding of fullStack monitoring or knowledge on Dynatrace 
  • Experience with Kubernetes 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations 
  • Ability to work and communicate in a multi-cultural environment 
  • Initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail 
  • Being open to occasional business trips abroad

• a short phone call with a recruiter (30 min max)
