Business Analyst – Digital Sustainability & Eco-Design

Must-Have Skills

1. 8–10 years of relevant experience as a Functional Business Analyst, preferably in digital or sustainability-driven projects.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
3. Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and product discovery techniques (e.g., stakeholder interviews, requirement workshops, use case analysis).
4. Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and functional specifications.
5. Excellent ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to capture needs, gather feedback, and validate outcomes.
6. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
7. Experience with requirements management and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, SpiraTest).
8. Hands-on experience in functional testing, regression validation, and ensuring delivery quality.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Knowledge and understanding of Sustainability and Eco-Design practices — including carbon footprint assessment, digital sustainability, and green IT principles.
2. Knowledge in sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, or similar).
3. Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.
4. Technical awareness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to coordinate effectively with development teams.
5. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to drive awareness and engagement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engage with business users and stakeholders to understand sustainability goals, challenges, and functional requirements.
2. Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
3. Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper understanding and implementation of sustainability-related features and metrics.
4. Conduct regression and functional testing, ensuring that developed features meet business expectations.
5. Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment on objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
6. Facilitate awareness sessions and training on sustainability and eco-design practices to promote digital sustainability across the organization.

Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years

BTech/MCA and equivalent degree
