Sopra Steria Benelux celebrates diversity: Diversity Week 2025

This month, nearly 200 employees participated in a series of engaging events celebrating diversity and inclusion. "Walk a Mile in Someone’s Shoes." was this year's inspiring theme. It encouraged everyone to step into different perspectives, embrace diversity, and strengthen our culture of inclusivity. From celebrating Ramadan to promoting gender equality, the week reflected our commitment to fostering an environment where differences aren’t just acknowledged but celebrated, ensuring that everyone feels a real sense of belonging. 


Why diversity matters

At Sopra Steria, diversity isn’t just a buzzword, it’s part of who we are. We believe diverse teams drive innovation and success. By promoting inclusivity, we’re creating leadership opportunities and breaking down barriers for everyone.


Some highlights from this year’s Diversity Week:

• Iftar dinners – In our offices in the Netherlands (Nieuwegein and Groningen) and Belgium (Diegem), colleagues came together for an office Iftar, enjoying a shared meal in celebration.


• International Women’s Day in Belgium – This year’s focus was ‘female leadership’. We celebrated our female leaders by having an open conversation about their journey so far. We ended the morning with a breathing exercises session and energising lunch.

 

• Diversity Day in the Netherlands – A day full of insightful activities and discussions on inclusivity. From an inspiring interview with a Drag Queen to the impactful menstrual pain simulation, we challenged perspectives and deepened our understanding of inclusion.


• Educational webinars – Thought-provoking talks on hidden (dis)abilities and unconscious bias helped us build a more inclusive workplace.
