Job Description

The Senior Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for designing, supporting the implementation, and maintaining customers’ security architectures to protect IT systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. The role focuses on developing security frameworks, defining best practices, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Working closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and security professionals, the Senior Cybersecurity Architect assesses risks, implements security controls, and ensures that security architectures align with business objectives. The role requires strong expertise in security technologies, threat modelling, and risk management, as well as the ability to operate autonomously in complex, large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Designing Security Blueprints

  • Model and document reusable security architecture patterns and blueprints for use by customer service teams.
  • Advise customers on integrating these security blueprints into their Cybersecurity Roadmaps.
  • Demonstrate experience working in large-scale IT environments, including thousands of systems and applications.

2. Security Architecture Reviews

  • Collaborate with customers’ product architects to review and assess the security posture of their implementations.
  • Ensure solution designs are aligned with documented security blueprints.
  • Ensure security is embedded throughout DevSecOps practices and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

3. Privileged Access Management (PAM)

  • Design and document how to apply the customer’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution within their environment.
  • Define implementation plans and support integration teams during deployment and configuration.
  • Industrialize PAM deployment approaches for large-scale service instantiation.
  • Experience with SSH PrivX Platform is considered a plus. 

4. Identity and Access Management (IAM)

  • Ensure the secure integration of IAM solutions with cloud and enterprise applications. 

5. Technical Hands-On Skills

  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to support security-related activities.
  • Python scripting capabilities are mandatory for this role. 

6. Collaboration & Security Awareness

  • Work closely with IT, DevOps, and business teams to ensure security is treated as a shared responsibility.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineers.
  • Act as a constructive, structured security advisor for both internal squads and customer stakeholders.
  • Operate with a senior architect mindset, demonstrating autonomy, proactivity, and strong communication skills. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity, with a focus on Business Continuity.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies and their application in architecture design.
  • Knowledge of TOGAF and SABSA methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
