Job Description

Join the team building the future of industrial transformation — one where every consultant, every deal, and every delivery is AI-enabled end to end. Sopra Steria is scaling its Industrial practice in Canada across aerospace, automotive, and heavy industries, backed by landmark global engagements and a 55,000-person European tech leader. This is your chance to help build it in Toronto.

At a Glance

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Sectors: Aerospace, Automotive, Heavy Industries & Manufacturing

Team: Industrial Practice, Canada

Travel: ~20–30%

The Role

You’ll own pipeline and revenue growth across Ontario’s industrial corridor — airframers and Tier 1/2 aerospace suppliers, OEMs and suppliers in automotive and mobility, and heavy industry players in mining, metals, energy, and advanced manufacturing. This is consultative selling for multi-million-dollar transformation programs, not staff augmentation. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with solution architects, global sector experts, and our AI-native delivery teams to shape and close deals that matter.

What You’ll Do

  • Build the Ontario go-to-market: develop named-account strategies across aerospace, automotive, and heavy industries; generate qualified pipeline; close deals from $500K to $10M+.
  • Be the industry voice: advise clients on production ramp-up, supply chain resilience, engineering and operations modernization, Industry 4.0 adoption, and decarbonization roadmaps.
  • Sell the full stack: position our integrated offering across PLM (3DEXPERIENCE, Teamcenter), MBSE, digital twins, ERP/MES, IoT/OT, cloud, and cybersecurity — amplified by our specialist subsidiaries.
  • Leverage AI as a differentiator: show clients how our AI-enabled delivery model (generative AI for engineering, automated test & code, agentic workflows) compresses timelines and reshapes unit economics.
  • Grow the ecosystem: deepen partnerships with Dassault Systèmes, Siemens, SAP, Microsoft, AWS, and sector-specific platforms.
  • Represent the practice: at industry forums across aerospace (AIAC, OAC), automotive (APMA, MEMA), and manufacturing (CME, Hannover Messe, major sector trade shows).

Why This Team

  • Fully AI-enabled, through and through — from how we prospect and propose, to how our consultants deliver. You’ll sell with modern tools, not against them.
  • Startup energy inside a European tech leader. Small enough that your impact is visible on day one; backed by 55,000 people and proven global assets.
  • Cross-sector breadth — apply what works in aerospace to automotive, bring lessons from heavy industry to both. Rare variety for a single commercial role.
  • Clear growth path — this role is built to evolve into senior commercial leadership as the Canadian practice scales.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 8+ years in business development or client-facing consulting, with 5+ years across one or more industrial sectors (aerospace, automotive, mining, metals, energy, or advanced manufacturing).
  • Track record of closing $1M+ multi-year services engagements and influencing VP/C-suite stakeholders.
  • Working fluency with industrial processes (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, operations) and the digital thread that connects them.
