Job Description

Skill Set

  1. Lead and manage procurement, create technical evaluation principles depending on the nature of procurement
  2. Contracts Management and Vendor Management
  3. Overall support to Buyers for key transactions
  4. Represent/ Lead in ISO and Tick IT audits for and on behalf of Procurement

 

 

  1. Maintain documentation viz, technical evaluation, recommendations, agreements) and / or purchase orders
  2. contracts management including, issuance of contracts, change orders, amendments and extensions;
  3. Look after the procurement and logistic activities to ensure smooth functioning; organizing Process for procurement operations, manage the execution and adherence of the supply plan activities
  4. Allocate purchase requests to respective buyers and ensure balanced work load
  5. Direct development and implementation of key strategies / contingency plans and making sure the end-to-end provision of procurement solution
  6. Preparation, implementation and execution of procurement processes
  7. Mentor other Buyers on their procurement activities as the team is responsible for leveraging approx. INR 100 Crores of annual spend
  8. Drive cost productivity through price negotiation, value adds, process improvements
  9. Develop detailed sourcing and category plans to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
  10. Interact with key stakeholders in identifying business needs, building relationships and in the process, emphasize the benefits of early procurement involvement.
  11. MIS viz. weekly, monthly, half yearly reports
  12. Effectively manage escalations and vendor communications
  13. Periodic vendor evaluation along with user function
  14. Maintaining Data base of empaneled vendors.
  15. Introduction of as many capable vendors, as possible

 

Total Experience Expected: 10-15 years


Qualifications

15+ years of experience in IT domain capable of handling both IT and Non IT procurement

Post Graduate

Procurement related certifications are preferred

Thorough knowledge in MS Office

Proficient in English and Tamil.
