A Network Security expert keeps the company environment safe from threats by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security protocols, and managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies. Experts in network security allow secure collaboration that protects the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. You’ll cast an attentive eye over our systems by monitoring network traffic and conducting regular security audits. This role often involves working under pressure, where strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with other IT professionals and responding swiftly to incidents. You’ll analyse and determine the safest, most effective solutions, paying meticulous attention to detail while staying updated on the latest security and compliance regulations.

Keeping our systems running smoothly and optimally will be your ultimate goal as our Network & Security Engineer. Your days will consist of automating and maintaining our systems as well as optimize our infrastructure and align cloud systems to always serve our business goals. You’ll use your expertise in cloud platforms (AWS & Azure), automation frameworks, containerization, virtualization, networking, and security practices to drive digital transformation. Our goal is to build reliable and cost-efficient systems. As a Network Engineer, you’ll make it happen by designing, implementing, and supporting scalable cloud environments, streamlining deployment processes.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as a Network Engineer
• CCNA certification is a requirement, CCNP is a plus
• Working knowlegde of network security measures such as Firewall, network acces control
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, IPSec, SSL and SNMP certificates
• general basic knowledge of infrastructure such as server virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V), but also Linux (administration), IaaS environments, backup and disaster recovery etc
• Fluent in English and Dutch/French
