Job Title: Technical Lead/Senior Technical Lead

Location: Chennai

Role Overview:

We are seeking a BI & Analytics Developer to transform data into actionable insights using BI and analytics tools. This role involves developing reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions for business stakeholders.

Experience:

1. 6+ years of relevant experience in MS BI, analytics, and reporting
2. Strong background in enterprise MS BI solutions and performance tuning

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using MSBI
2. Perform data modeling, cleansing, and transformation for analytics
3. Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to optimize data availability
4. Conduct statistical analysis and generate insights using SAS (if required)
5. Support business teams with ad-hoc reporting and data exploration
6. Provide innovative solutions to complex business/technical problems
7. Identify and resolve technical, integration and development issues
8. Implement best practices, standards and processes to ensure quality of the final product
9. Responsible for development of features independently
10. Continuous build, automated testing, and release management
11. Participate in status meetings and provide regular updates

Required Skills:

Technical:

1. Proficiency in BI tools like MSBI and hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboarding and reporting
2. Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and modeling
3. Understanding of data modeling, DAX (if Power BI), and visualization best practices

Professional Competencies:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2. Result-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment

Desired Skills:

1. Experience working in Agile environments – Scrum and/or SAFe frameworks
2. Exposure to DevOps culture and practices, including CI/CD and automation
3. Understanding of software engineering lifecycle – Development, Testing, and Production Support
4. Experience in production issue handling and transformation support management

Good to Have Skills:

1. Experience in SAS for statistical analysis and advanced reporting
2. Exposure to cloud-based BI solutions

Total Experience Expected: 06-12 years
