The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.


Job Description

We are currently looking for MongoDB and PostgreSQL database administrator to join Sopra Steria Polska  for our Belgian client from a financial sector.

As MongoDB Database Administrator, you will:

  • Install, upgrade, and patch database systems in cloud environment.
  • Manage security, backup, and recovery.
  • Migrate databases
  • Automate routine operations and support capacity planning.
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams (systems, networks, cloud platforms) in a dynamic, multinational environment.
  • We're looking for a proactive, solution-oriented professional, comfortable working in a diverse, international context.
  • Cooperate with DevOps, SecOps teams
  • Work in small database experts team with various databases technologies (Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis )

Responsibilities:

  • Administration with MongoDB (80%) and PostgreSQL (20%) databases in the cloud environment
  • Help programming teams with MongoDB databases aspects
  • Install and configure databases.
  • Perform routine database maintenance tasks (e.g., , monitoring, review statistics cleaning up old data).
  • Manage patching and apply security fixes.
  • Oversee database security (user permissions, encryption).
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Automate routine database tasks.
  • Migrate databases between environments.
  • Troubleshoot and manage incidents.

Qualifications

Must have requirements:​

  • Expertised in designing, deploying, and maintaining MongoDB databases for scalability, reliability, and security
  • Experience with automation tools and processes
  • Cloud technology knowledge- The best IBMCloud
  • Adept at troubleshooting complex MongoDB database issues, optimizing performance, and tuning queries to meet business requirements
  • PostgreSQL,
  • DevOps knowledge (terraform, bash, python)
  • English: B2


Nice to have requirements:

  • Other SQL/NoSQL RDBMS systems
