Job Description

As a Data Strategy & Governance Consultant, you have a strong affinity for data and advise clients on their data-related challenges. You support clients in making the right use of data and help build trust in their data.

In addition, you implement the appropriate data management activities to achieve this. You are a key player for various stakeholders and are able to guide them through the transition to data-driven working.

At Sopra Steria, you’ll have the opportunity to further develop your skills in a constructive, collaborative team environment, working on impactful projects that drive real change for our clients. If you thrive on challenges and possess (most of) the qualifications below, we look forward to receiving your application!

Employment type: Hybrid

Location: Nieuwegein

Working hours: 32–40 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Education: You have completed a bachelor’s (HBO) or master’s (WO) degree

Languages: Dutch (required) and English

You have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the data domain
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: data strategy, data governance, data literacy, and data management
  • Familiarity with the DAMA DMBoK data management framework
  • Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on mentality

Additional Information

You’ll be part of a major name in the tech world, known for its consulting, digital services, and software development. You’ll work alongside high-level professionals who are bold in their approach and committed to delivering exceptional results. In addition, you’ll become part of our Data area.

Within the Data area, we create long-term value for our clients through data. We help companies stay agile during transitions by making data and technology a key part of both daily operations and strategic decision-making. In doing so, we help our clients stay ahead of change through the power of data. Our ambition is to help organizations excel with data. You’ll work in a high-tech environment focused on knowledge and innovation, with an open, no-nonsense culture that encourages initiative. The area consists of five practices: Data Governance & Data Management, Data Visualization, Data Science & AI, Data Engineering & Data Migrations, and Spatial Intelligence — each with a clear identity and focus on content and corresponding solutions. Over 170 professionals work in this area, each in the practice that best suits their expertise and interests.

Ready for the next step in your career? We’re happy to guide you in the right direction — with offices in nearly 30 countries, we can take you places you’ve never been before. Prefer to grow internally? That’s possible too. We encourage you to keep challenging yourself and become the best version of who you are.

At Sopra Steria, we ensure you can do your job with joy and balance. That’s why we offer an attractive and flexible employment benefits package:

  • A permanent contract and a gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €6,000 (based on 40 hours per week). The exact amount depends on your experience and the role;
  • 8% holiday allowance;
  • A generous mobility budget, including options such as an electric lease car with an NS Business Card, a lease bike, or alternative transportation that best suits your travel needs;
  • 8% profit sharing on target (or a fixed OTB amount, depending on the role);
  • 27 paid vacation days;
  • A flex benefits budget of €1,800 per year, plus an additional percentage of your salary. This can be used for things like purchasing extra vacation days or contributing more to your pension;
  • A home office setup with a laptop, phone, and a monthly internet allowance;
  • Hybrid working: from home or at the office, depending on what works best for you;
  • Development opportunities through training, knowledge-sharing sessions, and inspiring (networking) events;
  • Social activities with colleagues — from casual drinks to sports and content-driven outings;
  • A flexible pension scheme with customizable contributions tailored to your needs;
  • Option to participate in a collective health insurance plan.
